Delhi: Mind Care Hospital from Ratnagiri won The Emerging SME award for Healthcare sector in New Delhi on September 23rd. This prestigious award ceremony took place at the Hotel Welcome by ITC Hotels, Dwaraka, in New Delhi. This award ceremony was graced by the presence of Shri Pravin Khandelwal, the National Secretary of CAIT, who presented the award to Dr. Atul Dhage, the founder of Mindcare Hospital. Many healthcare institutions from across India had nominated for this award, which recognizes outstanding contributions in the field healthcare sector. Mindcare Hospital, Ratnagiri recieved this award for its contribution in the field of mental and sexual health.
Dr. Atul Dhage started Mindcare Hospital in 2013, starting from a small clinic. Despite offers from major cities like Mumbai, Pune and also from Australia, England, and the Maldives, he chose to provide services in the small town of Ratnagiri, driven by the need to serve a region burdened with superstitions around mental health. Over the last decade, he has tirelessly worked in Ratnagiri district, focusing on providing quality care for mental health, sexual health, and de-addiction. Alongside serving patients, he has actively engaged in raising awareness among the general public, students, and individuals for personal development and addiction prevention through various programs, utilizing social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and YouTube for outreach. He has written 200 plus articles for the renowned daily newspapers and magazines. He has also delivered many talks on All India Radio, and televisions like Doordashan channel. Dr Atul Dhage dedicated this award to this award to his family members. He also gave credit to his existing and previous dedicated team members and said without them this would not have been possible. He also gave credit to the collaboration with organizations working in mental health, sexual health.
He expressed deep gratitude to patients and their families who trusted Mindcare Hospital for services related to mental and sexual health and for De-addiction. He highlighted that while physical illnesses may affect an individual, mental health conditions can disturb the entire family’s mental health and put them in distress, so addressing mental illness not only relieve patient but provides relief to family members also. Similarly, addressing sexual health issues can lead to happiness amongst the couple and can save their marital life too as sexual problem is one one of the reason for divorce in many.
