Casting director Shadman Khan is celebrating a proud moment as he has won a Filmfare Award for his casting work in the short film ‘Divorce’. The film features actors Hiten Tejwani, Gautam Vig, and others, and is directed by Raghav Kansal.
Born in Lucknow and brought up in Mumbai, Shadman Khan has steadily made a name for himself in the entertainment industry. He owns Shadman Khan Casting Agency and has over five years of experience in casting for television shows, web series, commercial advertisements, and reality shows. Earlier, he was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Iconic Award, adding to his growing list of achievements. Talking about winning the Filmfare Award, Shadman expressed his happiness and gratitude. He said,
“Winning the Filmfare Award is a dream come true for me. ‘Divorce’ is a very sensitive story, and casting the right actors was extremely important. Hiten Tejwani, Gautam Vig, and the entire cast brought honesty and depth to their roles. I am thankful to director Raghav Kansal for trusting my vision.” He also spoke about the film’s journey and team effort, adding,
“This award belongs to the entire team. As a casting director, my goal is always to find actors who can truly connect with the story. I’m happy that our work was appreciated at such a big platform.”
