Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management Paid Tribute to Shastri Ji on his 118th Birth Anniversary in New Delhi

Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management along with Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust celebrated the 118th birthday of Lal Bahadur Shastri at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial, 1 Moti Lal Nehru place in New Delhi. On this auspicious occasion, famous Gazal Singer Amrish Mishra highlighted the day with his gracious presence and performed “Bhajan Sandhya“.

During the Bhajan Sandhya, Shri Anil Shastri trustee of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial Trust and the entire family of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri along with teachers and students were present there.

Anil Shastri Chairman of LBSIM and trustee paid floral tribute to Shastri Ji saying he epitomised simplicity and lived for the welfare of our nation. The beliefs and ideals of Lal Bahadur Shastri ji are unwavering. He never flinched throughout his life to stand by them. His ethical standards, persistence, devotion, and bravery are still as applicable today as they were then. Lal Bahadur Shastri is always known for following ideologies which are influential towards the nation and given the slogans like “Jai Jawan Jai Kisan“.

Shastri ji was a great visionary leader who understood the peoples language and who led the country toward progress, Shastri ji was deeply influenced by Mahatma Gandhi, he added.

At the conclusion of the program, Mr. Kundan, curator of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Memorial delivered a vote of thanks to everyone present. Further, he said, “Lal Bahadur Shastri ji lived a life of simplicity and selflessness. He led a life that was driven by his beliefs rather than material possessions.”

Shastri ji promoted the White Revolution, a campaign that supported the production of milk and the Green Revolution in India with the aim of farmers prosperity and making India self-reliant in food grain production, he added.

The program was attended by dignitaries from various ministries of the Government of India, students, educationists and family members of Shastri ji.
