New Delhi, July 23, 2025 – The Healing Touch Superspeciality Eye Care, Janakpuri, marked a major leap in vision correction with the official launch of the Wavelight Plus technology. The launch was held alongside a Continuing Medical Education (CME) session, attended by a distinguished gathering of ophthalmologists and eye care professionals from across Delhi-NCR.
The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Padma Shri Dr. (Prof.) A.K. Grover, Past President of the All India Ophthalmological Society and former Chairman, Department of Ophthalmology, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital. Dr. Grover praised the initiative, stating,

He was welcomed and introduced by Dr. Piyush Kapur, Managing Director at The Healing Touch.
The academic session opened with a presentation by Dr. Barkha Gupta, who shared insights on the use of Sodium Hyaluronate and Trehalose in the management of dry eyes. Dr. Rajat Kapoor followed with a detailed talk on his experience with the Clareon Platform, highlighting its visual outcomes and safety features.
A key session featured Dr. Jaya Gupta, Dr. Neeraj Manchanda, and Dr. Piyush Kapur, who presented their clinical experiences with Wavelight Plus, focusing on patient selection, procedural advantages, and post-operative care.
“This platform is not just about precision- it allows for personalization,” said Dr. Jaya Gupta.
“It enhances both surgeon control and patient comfort,” added Dr. Piyush Kapur.

The event also saw the official launch of an awareness poster for the community, introduced by Dr. Sameer Bhati. The poster aims to promote public awareness around eye health and the importance of timely vision screening.
A live demonstration of the Wavelight Plus and Innoveyes platforms was conducted by Dr. Bhavtharini and the Alcon technical team, allowing attendees to witness the technology in action.
The evening concluded with a press briefing, distribution of mementoes, and a vote of thanks by Dr. Mani Kapur. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and cake-cutting celebration followed to formally mark the installation of the Wavelight Plus machine at the Janakpuri center. Guests then enjoyed a networking dinner and cocktails.
