Cicado, a hacking group from China, conducted a cyber attack in India using this video player platform.

Cyber ​​security experts present in the country had told that this Chinese hacking group is using a VLC media player to spread a suspected malware loader. Because of this, there can be a cyber attack on India. This is one of the reasons why India has banned VLC Media Player. However, the Government of India did not give any statement from its side regarding the ban. Later, the company accused the Indian government that the government had banned its platform without any valid proof.
